Como expresar advertencias en inglés
Continuamos con las lecciones sobre las funciones discursivas. Hoy nos ocupamos de las distintas formas de dar advertencias.
Existen varias maneras de expresar advertencias en inglés, más o menos informales.
1. Expresiones espontáneas:
Be careful!
Careful!
Watch out!
2. Expresiones típicamente utilizadas en señales visuales:
Warning!
Caution!
3. Expresiones más formales:
(i) oraciones condicionales o con valor condicional:
If you don’t work hard, you will fail the exam. (1st Conditional)
Be quiet, otherwise you won’t have a break!
(ii) verbos modales:
Don’t play with that glass, you might/will break it!
If I like doing this job because I think that makes me speak more English
